Hampe Assumes Distribution Executive Role for City Water Division

Former Distribution Engineering Manager for the City of St. Louis Water Division Kevin Hampe P.E. has been promoted to Water Distribution Executive.

A Civil Engineering graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Hampe began in the private sector prior as a Project Manager for Alliance Water Resources where he oversaw work for Public Water Supply District 2 in St. Charles County. After five years, he moved on to manage water and wastewater for the City of O’Fallon before briefly returning to District 2. He joined the City of St. Louis Water Division in April of 2025.

“I like doing this. It’s the place where you can put the most direct value into your environment. You’re directly improving the city, and that’s important.”

Hampe also says he is making it a priority to let the Water Division crews know that their tireless efforts do not go overlooked.

“I want to let them know we care and make improvements to their everyday lives. They work very hard, and they need to know we recognize that.
