Question: What are those castle-like structures in the middle of the Mississippi River near the Chain of Rocks Bridge?
Answer: Those are the old intake towers that used to capture water for our production plant. Built in 1894 and 1915 respectively, both were decommissioned in the mid-20th Century as the process was modernized. Both were named City landmarks in 1971 and remain iconic parts of the North Riverfront waterscape.
