On March 7, 2008, a 19 percent increase in the water rates was approved to become effective April 1, 2008. The additional revenue will be used to maintain and improve our water system. This will allow the Water Division to continue providing the highest quality water to you, our customer. |
|
| Flat rate water bills covering April 2008 and beyond will reflect the 19 percent increase. Metered water bills will be prorated based on the number of days in the billing period. The average daily consumption will be calculated by taking the total amount of consumption and dividing it by the number of days in the billing period. The average daily consumption for those days prior to April 1st will be assessed at the previous water rate. The average daily consumption for those days from April 1st and later will be assessed at the new water rate. The readiness-to-serve charge will be prorated based on the number of days before or after April 1st in the same manner. | |
